The Paris College of Art Financial Assistance Committee grants financial assistance awards on the basis of three criteria: financial need, merit, and commitment to the PCA program. A limited number of partial scholarships and loans, which defray a portion of tuition, are available to PCA Degree and Certificate students.
Study Abroad at PCA students are now eligible to apply for financial assistance under specific conditions. In addition to submitting the online application form + mandatory tax return forms, Study Abroad at PCA students must submit official documentation from their home institution of all financial assistance they currently receive. Documents are reviewed by the Financial Assistance Committee and have no bearing on the review of the student's application for admission. It is the goal of the Financial Assistance Committee to make studying abroad at Paris College of Art accessible to all highly qualified candidates.
Institutional loans are made for the period of study at PCA and will not be due for payment until the students have completed their degrees and as such, maintained full-time enrollment status. There will be no interest levied on these loans. In addition, all degree students may be chosen to participate in the on-campus internship program. Interns are assigned positions within the school for which they will receive an honorarium as well as a reduction in their tuition. Financial Assistance is awarded for one academic year, always beginning in the Fall semester. To retain their financial assistance package, students must remain in good academic standing (a semester GPA of at least 2.5 with a full-time load of at least 12 credits, including all degree requirements). They must also reapply each year in the Spring semester and show continued financial need. Awards may be reduced or discontinued if a student's financial circumstances or academic performance are deemed to no longer warrant tuition assistance.
Recent scholarship sponsors include Biotherm, Bibliothèque Kandinsky and the Annenberg Foundation.
*Please note that while Paris College of Art students are not eligible to receive US/FAFSA financial aid, students who are U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or International students with a creditworthy cosigner (who must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident) and those who have been enrolled in the Paris College of Art Undergraduate, Certificate or Study Abroad Programs, are eligible to take out the Smart Option Student Loan with Sallie Mae. Students should first and foremost apply for financial assistance through Paris College of Art and should they require additional funding for their cost of tuition and / or living costs, they should submit an application for the Sallie Mae Smart Option Private Student Loan. To submit an application, please visit the Sallie Mae Smart Option Student Loan website. Should you need further clarification about Sallie Mae’s Repayment Options or should you have any additional questions, please visit their online site at SallieMae.com or speak to them directly at: 1-888-2-SALLIE (1-888-272-5543).
Applicants requesting financial assistance should apply online at mon.paris.edu. Only applicants who have submitted an application to Paris College of Art will have access to the online financial assistance application form, located on the left side under the Admissions tab of the portal. All applicants who would like to be considered for financial assistance should apply by the priority deadline:
February 1 for fall entry
October 1 for spring entry
In addition to submitting an application form, students must submit mandatory tax return forms. Additional financial documents can also be submitted. No application without the mandatory supporting financial documents will be reviewed.
