Please note that you should NOT apply for a student visa but for a short-stay tourist visa. You can check on Visa Assistant the entry requirements or consult your local Consulate.
Course Cancellations (by PCA):
Paris College of Art reserves the right to cancel courses that do not meet sufficient enrollment. In such cases, students will be offered the opportunity to register for an alternative course or receive a full refund of their tuition. Classes will be confirmed or cancelled in mid-April.
Health Issues:
In cases of health issues, students with sufficient evidence (medical documentation) will be allowed to defer their enrollment to the following summer and apply the full tuition and housing fees for the next year.
Language, Prerequisites, & Credit Options
Language of Instruction
All courses are taught in English. Some studio courses may be open to French bilingual students with limited English skills; please see course pages for details.
Prerequisites
The program is for students with a strong interest in art and design, art history, and photography. Classes are intensive and rigorous, and require independent student research and work in project teams in a professional setting. Please check the level and prerequisite section of the syllabus of the course you are interested in before registering.
Academic Credit
All 2-week summer courses are worth 3 credits. Participants will receive a grade and an official transcript upon completion of their course(s), which may allow them to apply these college-level credits to current or future studies. Most schools and universities accept these credits; please consult an academic advisor at your home institution for further details regarding its credit transfer and approval policy.
Certificate of Completion
Students also have the option to audit courses (non-credit option), meaning they will have the same classroom experience but will not receive an official transcript or grade for their course(s). In order to maintain the academic excellence of all classes, students who audit their course(s) are required to abide by the same academic policies outlined in the course syllabus and must participate in all class sessions, including the final presentation. Failure to comply with these policies will be grounds for dismissal from the program without reimbursement. Auditors will receive a certificate of completion at the end of their course.

Visas, Travel & Health Insurance
Visas
Students may need to obtain a visa or travel authorization prior to the start of the program. You can check on Visa Assistant the entry requirements or consult your local French consulate or embassy to verify the specific entry requirements.
This process can take time, so we recommend applying as early as possible.
- Citizens of the European Union do not require a visa to travel to France.
- Nationals of Visa-Exempt Countries/Territories: If you are a national of a visa-exempt country or territory, you will need to apply for an ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) travel authorization for short stays (up to 90 days) in France and other Schengen Area countries. ETIAS is not a visa, but it is a mandatory travel authorization. The application process is quick and easy, and approval is typically granted within a short period. For more details and to apply, visit the official ETIAS Website.
Please check the list of visa-exempt countries/territories that need to apply for an ETIAS travel authorisation. - Other Nationalities: If you are not from the EU or a visa-exempt country, you may need to apply for a short-stay tourist visa.
Please note that you should NOT apply for a student visa.
