Barbara Montefalcone writes exhibition catalogue's text for artist Elena Berriolo's solo show in Florence
New York-based Italian artist Elena Berriolo‘s solo exhibition in Florence titled “Sewn Words” will be on display from September 26 through November 24, 2024 at Crumb Gallery, Florence. Chair of Liberal Studies & Art History Barbara Montefalcone, author of the main text in the exhibition catalogue, discusses issues of gender identity, political activism, and interdisciplinary collaboration in relation to Berriolo‘s unique artist’s books made with the sewing machine.
