Professional Experience
Caroline Joy Elizabeth Elie has been working as a freelance fashion designer since 2016. Having begun freelancing designing made-to-measure garments for individual clients, she moved her focus to putting her skills to the service of other fashion companies, undertaking missions like sampling prototypes, correction, fitting adjustments, research, small batch production, all being executed within the fashion studio. Caroline also works on developing the dialogue between media within design; she has worked alongside architectural firm Bona-Lemercier to create screens and tents, the final product being realized for the CNEAI (Centre National Edition Art Image).
In 2019, the designer started teaching both junior and senior fashion studio, while managing her own business. This includes concept development, sketchbooks, final collection presentation as well as draping, pattern drafting, and final garments. Alongside the development of collections, she has worked to develop final jury presentations as well as end-of-year fashion shows, while collaborating with other departments of Paris College of Art.
