PCA Lunch Talk with Interior Design Chair Alix de Mercey

On November 7th, from 1:00 – 2:00 pm in Room 102, the Foundation Department will have the pleasure of welcoming Alix de Mercey, Chair of the Interior Design Department, for an inspiring Lunch Talk! This is a fantastic chance to dive into the world of interior design, explore career pathways, and gain insights from a leader in the field.

 Enjoy snacks and refreshments while Alix shares her vision for the department and tips for budding designers! Attendance is mandatory for Foundation students.

About Alix de Mercey

Education
MA honours in Architectural Design from the University of Edinburgh (1998), followed by an MA in Architecture from the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London (2001)

Professional Experience
Lead architect on various high-end residential projects at Diamond architects and Wilkinson King, two London based practices; collaborator on numerous projects both in France and abroad at renowned Parisian firms, such as Jourda Architectes, Atelier Jean Nouvel and XTU. Independent architect as from 2010, with projects for private clients ranging from house extensions and interior refurbishments to commercial spaces.

Teaching Experience
Several years teaching Interior Design at the École Bleue and the Académie Charpentier in Paris, before joining Paris College of Art as chair of the Interior Design department.
