Gradients
Core Brand Gradient
Gradients are a way to express the connection and transdisciplinary nature of our programs. It conveys the diversity and the richness of our school’s mindset.
The use of the full color core brand gradient should be prioritized when communicating about PCA globally, and not when referencing a specific department.
Depending on use case, the core brand gradient can be used with or without grain.

Department Gradients
Given the interdisciplinary nature of our programs, it’s essential to visually convey how each creative discipline draws inspiration and tools from others.
To achieve this, we use department gradients using all the colors in our brand palette, with the department’s primary color being the most prominent. These gradients should be used exclusively on communication materials specific to the department.
Department colors can be used independently in their solid form, but gradients provide added visual interest when appropriate.

Secondary Gradients
These are examples of secondary gradients that can be used to enhance and diversify communications about interdepartmental collaborations.
For example, if you are posting about a collaboration between the photography and fashion departments, you could use a pink and blue or red, pink, and blue secondary gradient.
These gradients are created using up to three colors.
