PCA Class of '21, Kandice Chavous and ARTSTHREAD X Gucci
Class of '21, Kandice Chavous has been shortlisted for the 2021 Global Design Graduate Show in collaboration with ARTSTHREAD X Gucci.
“On Any Given Day” is my first attempt at a narrative short film. I wanted to tell a story that was relatable and engaging but still had a fashion focus. After the recent pandemic many fashion brands have turned to creating films to present their collections. Gucci is a prime example of ramping up their fashion film production in place of traditional shows. Isabel Marant, Saint Laurent, Dior, Celine, and Louis Vuitton they are all brands that have tapped into the power of fashion film. Fashion films are emerging to be the only way to showcase the new collections but also a way to explore the brands identity through storytelling and visual narrative. My focus on this project was to really create a film that encompassed all of the commercial aspects, as well as, personal storytelling.”
