L’AiR Arts invites you for the last opportunity to visit Atelier 11 – the only preserved workshop of the historical artists community of Cité Falguière in Paris.

“Hosting many prominent artists of the 20th century, including Modigliani, Soutine, Foujita, Brancusi, and Gauguin, Atelier 11 will continue the legacy of the École de Paris by welcoming artists of today as an International Arts Research Residency. To celebrate atelier’s historical legacy before embarking on the restoration programme, L’AiR Arts has invited five artists for the in-situ residency to engage in a creative transformation of the space, while revisiting the 150 years of atelier’s artistic history. Focusing on the building in its current state: various architectural elements, cracks and marks of time and history, artists experimented with new ways to conceive artworks by working directly with the building as both object and subject of their work. As such, tracing not only the physical history of the building, but also reflecting the significance of its international artistic residency central to cross-cultural mobility and creative exchange.”

Visit and bear witness to the cultural revival of this historic site, while meeting and engaging with artists from different countries.
