PCA Launches MFA in Animation

The Last Delivery
by Sarah Maxwell

PCA is excited to announce that we will be offering a two-year MFA program in Animation with a curriculum that emphasizes the use of digital technology skill sets to express creative ideas. The program explores digital animation as a form of visual expression and it is designed as a practiced-based and process-oriented program to prepare students to work as independent artists or for a commercial studio. Led by Heath Kenny, animation director, producer and writer, the program offers a unique blend of studio practice, and theoretical and art historical training in the European and French contexts.

Heath brings to the program years of experience in the industry, including directing Robotboy for Cartoon Network, writing numerous episodes of Oui-Oui (known as Noddy in the anglophone world), and producing Atomic Puppet.

Through PCA’s professional network, students in the MFA in Animation will find numerous opportunities for internships post graduation.
