PCA Talks Presents: Kate Garvey

Kate Garvey is a Fashion Designer, Consultant, and Sales Director.

Irish, born in Brussels and having lived in Paris her whole life, Kate Garvey is one of those people who does not have a straight answer to the question: “Where are you from?” She does, however, know exactly where she is going. Understanding from a young age that fashion is an experience-driven industry, Kate began interning at the age of 15 – with noteworthy stints at Lutz Huelle, buying office Lambert + Associates, Maison Margiela, Dries Van Noten and Stella McCartney – before finally landing an internship at brand-of-the-moment Y/PROJECT. Hired while still studying for a double BA at Esmod and the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers, Kate went on to spend almost 5 years with the brand, witnessing and contributing to its metamorphosis from niche label to internationally coveted Maison. Leaving her position as Area Manager for North America in June 2019, she now consults for several brands, including London-based Yang Li as Sales Director amongst others, under her own company, K8GRV. Just 6 months after launch, K8GRV represents 5 independent brands whilst conversations with more are ongoing. Be they established or emerging, Kate lends her sales experience, strong retail relationships and personal drive to grow their business. She strives to ensure creativity and commercial viability go hand in hand.

Come join us for this exciting and educational talk on February 4th from 6:30 – 8 pm in the auditorium.
