PCA Thesis Advisor Named Curator of Souls Grown Deep Foundation

PCA Community member Raina Lampkins-Fielder was recently announced as curator of the non-profit Souls Grown Deep Foundation.

First joining the PCA team back in 2009, she’s most recently been a thesis advisor for our Fine Arts students. Raina is now in charge of curating and preserving art relating to African Americans in the southern United States. The organization already has permanent collections at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. They’re working towards distributing art to museums and galleries across the country to promote cultural awareness and racial representation. In addition to curation, the organization is seeking to better the socioeconomic conditions of their artists’ communities. We’re proud of Raina and excited to congratulate her on this new position!
