MA/MFA Transdisciplinary New Media students acquire skills in: prototyping, 3D modelling, digital fabrication (3D printer, laser cutter), programming, VR and AR.
The hands-on course Digital Media and Technology assists students in nurturing the ability to efficiently translate ideas and concepts into digitally produced physical objects.
MTNM second year student Collin Kluchman created a timelapse of colleague Nathan Guerry’s project:
“This hub is designed to be printed en masse and used to form the vertices of an omni-directional spacefilling Octahedral/tetrahedral space frame lattice. The piece has been 3D modelled to snap fit the stirrers from the coffee machine at PCA, a waste product that now gains a new life as the struts of a potentially infinite structure.”
