Barbara Montefalcone, Chair of Liberal Studies, Participates in "A Night For Robert Creeley" with Artist Jim Dine

Barbara Montefalcone, Chair of Liberal Studies, will participate in a poetry reading in memory of the American poet Robert Creeley. The reading will take place on November 12th at Michael Woolworth’s studioat 19h. American painter Jim Dine will also participate in the reading. The reading is organized by the association Double Change.

Barbara Montefalcone will present poet Robert Creeley and show images from some of his collaborative books made with international artists (Francesco Clemente, Alex Katz, Robert Indiana and Jim Dine himself amongst others). Barbara Montefalcone studied Creeley’s collaborative work extensively for her PhD dissertation The Eye and the Company: Robert Creeley’s Collaborations (available online) which was partly written under the supervision of Robert Creeley himself in 2004.
