Drawing Now Art Fair: " L'Effort Déchaîné", exhibition and performance workshops with Véronique Devoldère and Didier Clain
Véronique Devoldère and Didier Clain, chair of the Drawing graduate program and PCA faculty, started an artist residency at the Paris University Club. The artists have been collaborating for the past three years, sharing their practice with the public. Their approach is confronted with the traditional boundaries of drawing as an art form, but also as a physical and social experience, an effort required from the viewers which engage both the body and the relationship with the actual work.
This exhibition project, “L’Effort Déchaîné”, dives in a synergy between art and physicality, exploring the intersections where artistic expression mixes with the brutal physical effort of creation, in relation to sport practices.
In this new project, the visual artists attempt to create a coexistence between the drawing practice and the world of sports, including volleybal, squash, tennis, athletism and judo.
A first exhibition as well as performative workshops will be organized during the Drawing Now Art Fair at the Arches Citoyennes with Plateau Urbain.
