As an interior designer Laurent designed furniture for Colette‘s concept store in Paris, rehabilitated Townhouse Hotel in Miami Beach, and worked on Restaurant Dalloyeau‘s interior design in Paris.

He then settled in London as an architect to work with Waugh & Thisleton Architects -developing the banks of Liverpool- and with David Chipperfield Architects. Projects included the HEC Paris MBA Building, one of the most prestigious and selective business schools in the world. With David Chipperfield Architects, Laurent also worked on a luxury villa estate in Turks and Caicos Islands, the Figge Art Museum in Davenport, Iowa, and Dolce&Gabbana flagship stores in Milan, Genoa, and Paris.

After his venture in London, Laurent came back to Paris to develop his own business and started teaching at Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués and Paris College of Art.

His class Wonderful Paris: Drawing Paris, Drawing from Architecture and Interior Design will take you on outings to sites such as Fondation Louis Vuitton, Musée Rodin, Opéra Garnier, and Palais Royal. Visits will concentrate on concepts such as scale changes, past and present confrontation, the duality between indoor and outdoor, and architecture and landscape.

The work produced by students will be exhibited in ESPACE F15 Gallery at PCA. Paris’ rich cultural history and architectural landscape will be at the heart of this course focused on practicing rendering techniques as well as maturing students’ own artistic voices.
