Filipa Cruz appointed Transdisciplinary New Media Department Coordinator

Filipa Cruz

Filipa Cruz lives and works between Portugal and France. She has a Doctor’s Degree Unanimously Approved with Distinction (Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto); a Masters in Fine Arts Approved with Distinction (École Nationale Supérieure de Beaux-Arts de Paris); a Post-graduation in Aesthetics, Arts and Culture (Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne); a Higher Degree in Fine Arts-Sculpture (Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto); and a Higher Degree in Fine Arts-Multimedia (Beaux-Arts de Paris). Filipa is an artist, researcher, and professor. Since 2012, she has held individual and collective exhibitions and participated in international conferences as a speaker.

She won several grants such as the Artistic Creation Grant (Directorate-General for the Arts – DGARTES), Guest Scientist Grant – Arts (UMA University of Madeira / FCT), Literary and Artistic Creation’s Grants (Funchal’s Town Hall / and Azorean Government), Fine Arts-Sculpture Artistic Creation’s Grant (Azorean Government), Multimedia and Audiovisual Artistic Creation’s Grant (Azorean Government), Research Grant Medeiros e Almeida Foundation. Filipa is an Integrated Researcher in i2ADS – Research Institute of Art, Design, and Society.
