Kristina Chan has been selected to be one of the featured visual artists for the Hidden Door Arts Festival (HDAF) 2017; an annual multi-arts festival which takes place in Edinburgh that presents programs of exciting new talents in visual art, live music, film, poetry, and theatre and serves as an opportunity for artists to interact, exchange, and develop new work.
This year, the HDAF will take place from May 26 through June 2, 2017 where Kristina will be presenting site specific work around the theatre.
On Thursday January 19, 2017, Kristina hosted the launch of ArtisTank at The Crypt Gallery in London, UK. ArtisTank is the first social network dedicated to young artists, where young creatives can share and discuss their work, ask each other questions, and find out about exhibitions and events. The evening consisted of photography, printmaking, performance, ceramics, and moving image. Each work responded to the theme of ‘transitions’, flowing between medium and time, state and stage.
Kristina is currently doing a residency program at the Leith School of Art in Edinburgh, Scotland.
