On October 11, PCA hosted the first of a series of meetings organized as part of the PCA x Terra Foundation x Université Paris Nanterre partnership.

The PCA x Terra Research Program gives the selected students the chance to conduct high level research on a specific topic related to American Art. The monthly workshops and final presentation are opportunities to meet peers from French universities and to compare research methodologies in an international and interdisciplinary context.

During that first meeting, MFA in Transdisciplinary New Media student Kirby Mealer presented their work to a group of 46 MA students in art history from Université Paris Nanterre and their instructor. They then engaged in a discussion about research methodologies and the study of American art. The following meeting will bring Kirby to Université Paris Nanterre early November for a methodology session, and to the Terra Foundation for American Art Center in Paris for a final public presentation the week of November 21.
