Botanics, Drawing, and Printmaking

What You’ll Learn
In this course, you will express and sketch basic plant anatomy in traditional form; Expand visual culture and have references of traditional and contemporary illustration and European landscaping; explore projects through printmaking techniques; observe and create exciting compositions while sketching in outside spaces; extrapolate and create an interesting composition from imagination.

Garden of Luxembourg, Serres d’Auteuil, Bois de Boulogne, Albert Kahn Museum and Versailles.
Supplies
While PCA provides the essential tools for the class to run, students provide their own supplies. A list of required materials will be shared on the summer student portal before the start of the program. Expenses for supplies are estimated at between €30 to €150.
Course highlight
Students will create their own illustrated Riso poster.
Prerequisites
Interest and curiosity for nature and a taste for outside drawing sessions.
