Fundamentals of drawing and "learning how to see" in the capital of art

 

What you’ll learn: How to use various materials such as pencil, ink, and watercolor; master such foundational elements of drawing as composition, line, form, light/shadow, etc. as applied to still life, the model, and nature; visual vocabulary; observational skills; personal portfolio development and discovery of the student’s own line

Where you’ll visit: Louvre, Centre Pompidou, Musée d’Orsay, Luxembourg Gardens, Notre Dame, Musée Cluny

Course highlight: Sketching tour of Musée Rodin and sculpture gardens

Prerequisites: Enthusiasm and desire to grow as an artist

Level: Pre-college

When: Session 1 (June 14 – June 25, 2021), Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm
