Class of '17 Andrew Voxakis: "1 Second Everyday" Project

Andrew Voxakis graduated this May 2017 with an MFA degree in Transdisciplinary New Media. We caught up with him last year to get his insight on what the program entails and his experiences.

Fast forward a year later, Andrew has released Paris and Other Adventures – August 29, 2015 – June 2, 2017 as part of 1 Second Everyday. He has been working on this project for 4-5 years, and his latest video diary reflects back on his time in Paris over the last two years.

Here’s what Andrew has to say about the project and his time in Paris:

I could discuss the surreal moments that I looked around to see this city around me that I have been wanting to live all of my life. I could describe all of the people I met that changed me to my core and evolved me into the next stage of my life.

I know I will never have these timed moments ever again. And I realize things will be forever changed with the people I met and the city I called home.

I imagine this is one of the reasons why I hold onto these videos, these flashes of memories. I know I will never have them again but just for a moment I can watch this video, and all my videos, and be there once again with my friends, in my city, in that reflection, once again.

Thanks to everyone that made my video and my time there what it is, what it was, and what it will be. One thing I know is that I will miss everything.
