Why did you want to do this internship and did it live up to your expectations?
I have always been interested in exploring different jobs and going beyond my comfort zone. Being a photographer myself, I wanted to experience working at a contemporary photography fair and see the behind the scene aspect of it. To me FotoFever was the perfect opportunity since I am graduating this December and was a bit lost in what direction I wanted to go for. I honestly went there with no expectations and when the internship ended I was so happy that I did it! The people, the atmosphere and everything else was truly memorable.

Can you describe your responsibilities during the internship?
During the internship I was an assistant. My responsibilities included working at the cloakroom, the ticket counter, greeting exhibitors and guests, scanning tickets, selling catalogues, and helping galleries with any of their needs. At times, so many visitors would come at the same time, it was a lot of work but at the same time it was fun.

Has this internship experience influenced your thoughts about your career?
Yes it definitely has helped me narrow down my decision on what I want to do after graduating.

What did you gain from your internship?
Aside from improving my French, I met so many people with different backgrounds around the world and learned about their experiences. I also learned how to manage multiple of tasks at once and work better in a team.

Would you recommend this internship to another student?
Yes absolutely, if you’re interested in photography or you simply want to help, FotoFever is the perfect place to go to. Everyone was very friendly, they always checked up on us and made sure we’re okay. If we needed a break; my boss would fill in and would always help me if I needed it.
