Chez Nous, an exhibition about home

In the midst of Paris, hosted at the Paris College of Art, the exhibition “Chez Nous” invites viewers to consider the complexities of home through a diverse array of artistic expressions. “Chez Nous” is a student-curated exhibition, produced by practicing artists who who have ventured beyond the cozy confines of their given homes seek not only challenge but also the allure of the unknown, drawing inspiration from the vast expanse beyond the familiar. In this exhibition, the assorted approach of artworks serves as a canvas for the imagination, inviting visitors to contemplate the essence of home through introspection and reflection. Instead of being confronted with tangible representations of home, viewers are encouraged to engage with the ephemeral—the emotions and the memories. How are these artists curating a home away from home? These are aspirations that define where one has come from to where one has now been. In curating this exhibition, our goal was to create a space where the universal longing for home and self-made community could be illustrated, examined, and celebrated.
