Since 2010, Christophe Lemaitre develops a personal work tackling strategies of image production and/or disappearance; he developed an independent curatorial practice as the co-director of Super Project Space in Paris (2008-2010); was a long-term researcher at the Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht, Netherlands (2011-2012); and invited artist to collaborate on the art direction of the Cneai art center where he developed several new exhibitions and long-term projects such as The Life and Death of Works of Art, and The Long Panoramic Image of a Revolving Artwork (2014).
Christophe Lemaitre has published several books: The Life and Death of Works of Art (Tombolo Presses, 2016), The Book of Go (Funded by FNAGP, 2015), Machine (Mac/Val, 2013), Frrfrr – La Mode et son destindans l’œuvre de Marcel Duchamp (Parc Saint Léger, 2010). He is also the co-editor of Postdocument, a regular publication focused on exhibition photography.
