Victor Benitez ’25 makes an impression right away.

As he begins his journey with us in the Foundation program, we asked Benitez what inspired him to join us here at PCA. Benitez told us, “My home is in Tamaraceite Gran Canaria …that’s the neighbourhood I grew up in and a place I know from top to bottom.”

What inspired you to join the PCA community?

“… In PCA, I’ve had the opportunity to be friends with Master’s students who already have a career in the arts. I set myself high expectations and push myself to the limit as I’m around people who are already used to working that way.”

What program are you entering into, and what are you hoping to learn?

“I’m hoping to enter in fine arts, I want to carry on exploring different mediums and represent my culture with the different mediums.”

What’s your dream job?

“My dream job is one where I am able to inspire people to pursue art through making art myself. I want my own art to inspire those who are lost in life, and help them express themselves.”

Can you tell me about Paris and what its significance is to you?

“Paris is a city that has the ability to change the world, some of the newest business ideas are developed in Paris and it’s a pioneer in the field of the arts.”

What about Paris excites you the most?

“I wanted to come to Paris because of all of the resources that it provides young people with for free. You can access the some of the best museums in the world for free.”
