Salvatore Vitale is a visual artist and editor specialised contemporary documentary photography and transmedia storytelling.
He is also the co-founder and editor-in-chief of YET magazine.

Exhibitions
His work has been exhibited in museums and international festivals worldwide including How To Secure a Country (Fotostiftung Schweiz), Foam Talent (Amsterdam, London, Frankfurt, New York), How to Secure a Country (Lianzhou International Festival of Photography), How to Secure a Country (Hamburg Triennal of Photography), Follow_Me: New Narratives in Contemporary Photography (OCAT Shangai and Shenzhen), Elusive Noise: Unfolding the Virtual (MOCAK Museum of Contemporary Photography Krakow), The Moon Was Broken (Photoforum Pasquart Biel/Bienne)

Teaching/Research Experience
Professor at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (from 2018), Vitale has also thought courses and workshops at UWE Bristol, The Royal Academy of Arts The Hague KABK, University of South Wales Cardiff (2017-2019). His teaching activity includes workshops in institutions such as Pathshala South Asian Media Institute Dhaka, International Summer School of Photography Latvia, FOMU Antwerp, Fotodepartamant St. Petersburg, RMIT University Melbourne (2016-2019).
