We are pleased to announce that PCA faculty Federica Chiocchetti will co-curate this year’s international open-air travel photography festival #JaipurPhoto, in conversation with Rosalyn D’mello, another writer who has a close engagement with photography.

Federica is a writer, photography critic, editor and curator, and will be teaching in PCA’ new MA/MFA in Photography and Image-Making. She is the founding director of the photo-literary platform Photocaptionist and currently writing her PhD on photography, fictions and text, at the University of Westminster, London, under the supervision of professor and artist David Bate.

She works independently and for international institutions, collections, festivals and fairs, including, the V&A, Nottingham Castle Museum and Art Gallery, Brighton Photo Biennial, the London Art Fair and the Archive of Modern Conflict.

Her most recent projects include the exhibitions ‘Feminine Masculine: on the Struggle and Fascination of Dealing with the Other Sex’, curated for Photo50 within the 2016 London Art Fair, ‘P.H. Emerson: Presented by the Author’, curated while she was the 2015 Art Fund Curatorial Fellowship (Photographs) at the V&A and the exhibition and book ‘Amore e Piombo’, co-edited with Roger Hargreaves for the Archive of Modern Conflict and Brighton Photo Biennial, winner of the Kraszna Krausz 2015 Best Photography Book Award. Her writings have been published on a number of international magazines, including Der Greif, Photoworks and Foam Magazine.
