MA/MFA Students Team Up With Draft Ateliers

Since the MA/MFA in Transdisciplinary New Media commenced in Fall 2015, the students have teamed up with Draft Ateliers. Located in the 18th district footsteps away from the PCA campus, Draft Ateliers is a fab-lab where people co-work alongside likeminded individuals in a large and luminous converted warehouse.

Not only are there work spaces, there are three technical studios members can hire: printing, woodwork and a textiles. Our MTNMstudents utilize the 3D printers and a laser cutter in their printing lab —Atlélier Numérique — in the realization their projects. The class had an initial introduction to the Atlélier Numérique, working alongside the knowledgable staff, who are open to new ideas and able to troubleshoot challenging requests.

Outside of class time, for a small fee students can utilize the resources from Mondays through Fridays, 10am-8pm.
