Open Call: Artist Residency in Paris
Every year, Cité internationale des arts welcomes more than 1,200 artists from 90 countries in 326 studios in the heart of Paris.
The residency was founded in 1965 and has welcomed more than 25,000 artists since its creation. With over 300 studios available in the Marais and Montmarte, it’s ideal location in the heart of Paris and its commitment to place the artist at the heart of the project makes Cité internationale des arts a key player on the Parisian and international art scene.
The studios include a furnished work and living space (living room/workspace, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen) and are also equipped with Wifi (for the ones on the Marais site). It is not possible to bring additional furniture. In 2020, the monthly charges range from € 581 to € 886 depending on the size of the studio (between 25 m2 and 60 m2 ).
These residencies are open to French and foreign artists and curators, in the field of Visual Arts, Music, Writings and Performing Arts, aged over 18, for a residence period of 2 to 12 months.
Submission of applications: Through March 1st, 2020
Notification of results: From mid-May 2020
Residences start: From July 2020 onwards and last from 2 to 12 months (example: beginning of residence in September 2020 and end of residence in January 2021).
