After graduating from Denison University in 2008 with a degree in theatre arts, Kanelos Weiner worked in costume design for stage and film when she started dabbling with watercolor in her sketches. When moving to Paris indefinitely, she took a left turn and started illustrating her curious and contradictory new life with a sharp sense of wit in her signature, self-taught watercolor style. Since then she has worked with clients like The New York Times, AFAR, M Le Magazine du Monde, Kenzo, Free People, The Wall Street Journal and many more. She is also the coauthor of the bestselling Rizzoli book “Paris in Stride: An Insider’s Walking Guide”, among a handful of other titles.

Jessie Kanelos Weiner born in 1986 in Chicago, IL USA. Lives and works in Paris, France and teaches at PCA in the Foundation and Summer programs.
