PCA Chair of Photography, Klaus Fruchtnis' Exhibits at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Bogota, Colombia

PCA Chair of Photography, Klaus Fruchtnis, exhibited his work at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Bogota in July 2016. The MAC recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, and invited the French-Colombian artist to show his work. For the exhibit Fruchtnis produced artwork focusing on the use of new technology through photography.

As part of his research, Fruchtnis focused his interest in the mechanical, physical and chemical aspects offered by this medium. In this exhibition, photography is conceived as an experimental path of discovery and knowledge, playing with the limits of our vision, the constraint of the medium and ultimately, the way we interpret reality. As an image-maker, Fruchtnis plays with conventional visual codes and the role of photography nowadays.
