PCA Faculty Participates in the International Conference “Public Art in the Digital Creativity Era”

PCA Transdisciplinary New Media professor Filipa Cruz, gave a speech at the International Conference “Public Art in the Digital Creativity Era” hosted by the Universidade Católica Portuguesa School of Arts in Porto, Portugal.

The conference, which took place April 27 – April 28 2017, focused on how new supports, technical means, production methods and presentation spaces have contributed to an enlargement of the range of possibilities regarding artistic creation.

Filipa Cruz explored different types of research and problematics that influence the political, social and urban context as well as the material and immaterial remains that appear on the fabric of public places, through an analysis of different types of artistic production, including works from Anish Kapoor, Olafur Eliasson, Tânia Bruguera, and Jochen Gerz.
