PCA Photography Faculty Klaus Fruchtnis to Talk at "The World's Top Entrepreneur" Event
PCA Chair of Photography and Master in Transdisciplinary New Media faculty, Klaus Fruchtnis, is invited to talk at the “El Emprendedor Más Grande del Mundo” (The World’s Top Entrepreneur) event in June, Thursday 23rd in Bogota, Colombia.
Klaus will present his current research on Digital Technologies in Creative Processes in Education and Social Change and will share his innovative vision regarding technological devices as a tool for social change. The artist will present real situations where his artistic and pedagogical role helped propel various projects that have had a significant impact in the urban realm in different cities around the world.
Creative processes today are increasingly being recognized as research whether for their methodology, their process-oriented aspect, for preparing leaders with a creative approach to contribute ideas and solutions to the community and beyond, as well as their impact on the current social, economic and political order.
This talk focuses on fostering innovation and creativity through education, and ways in which digital technologies can be used in creative processes for social change. Innovative pedagogical approaches should be taken into account when it comes to creativity and creative processes in education, because creativity is different to innovation; innovation being the production or implementation of an idea. New technologies can play a significant role in facilitating the teaching of creativity if used in partnership with traditional teaching methods.
