PCA Students Visit Maison et Objet Exhibit

Two PCA students, Mia & Claire, recently visited the Maison & Objectexhibit and sent us their feedback:

We had the opportunity to attend Maison & Object  held at the Parc des Expositions de Villepinte in the north of Paris. Maison & Objet is a huge 4-day interior design show taking place every September and January in Paris. It has expanded worldwide to the Asian and American continents.

While attending the show on the weekend, we were only able to visit 2 of the 8 halls of displays! There was so much to see. Lucky enough, we randomly chose the two most exciting halls showing the Projects and the Now! Design à vivre  shows.

We found the Now! Design à vivre  show very interesting and informative as we were able to discover all of the new and contemporary things on the market. It showed a variety of new design concepts that were bold, innovative and functional. One of the most imposing exhibitors to us was Fatboy. Their booth was very engaging and included a large screen displaying a video & sound installation. Next to that was a hands-on area for the new modular suspension lights presented in the video, and then closed off with an old Citroën delivery truck transformed into a “candy bar” with goodies for everyone. Many other exhibitors were also amazing with beautiful designs.

People from all over the world come to Paris to attend these shows twice a year. For the next date we will plan ahead to be able to discover a few more halls then we did this time, as we do really think this show is quite fascinating. We recommend Maison & Objet for everyone and especially interior design fanatics!

The next Maison & Objet Fair will be held in Paris on January 22-26, 2016
