Steve Bisson new Chair of Photography at PCA

Steve Bisson is an Italo-Belgian publisher, art director, and curator, mainly in visual and literary anthropology. Steve has collaborated worldwide with artists, companies, museums, foundations, and galleries. He contributed to several exhibitions and festivals, carrying out his vision to support young talents, enhance lifelong learning, and boost worldwide debate and awareness on human conditions. In 2009, Steve founded the Urbanautica online publishing platform focusing on the image’s new territories. In 2016, Steve and I co-founded Blurring the Lines, an academic network that fosters talent and dialogue in the visual realm. Lastly, Steve co-directs Move Cine Arte, a Brazilian itinerant festival of films on art and architecture, and acts as the art director of Lab27 cultural centre and the Ragusa FotoFestival in Italy.

Steve is the director of Urbanautica Books and the founder of Penisola Edizioni. His essays and reviews have been published in many books, studies, magazines, and websites. In 2016, he was invited to curate a photography exhibition for the Italian Pavillion of Biennale di Architettura in Venice. Steve Bisson has participated in many photography awards and portfolio reviews as a jury member.
