How little is needed before something becomes, feels and is perceived as unnatural? This is the question at the starting point of the exhibition Heterotopia from PCA study abroad alumni Sebastian Thorsted. This collection of photographs examines perceptions around body image, a much discussed topic at the moment. The work does not consider this topic from a political viewpoint, however, but from a purely visual perspective. Using digital tools to manipulate the photos, the work challenges the idea of how a photo ought to look and invites the viewer to experience the body and its forms in a new light.
Exhibition runs until March 21 at Ungt Rum, Copenhagen.
