Rodin and the World of Dance – Musée Rodin – April 6 through July 22

This exhibition invites visitors to discover the relationship between Rodin’s work and dance. Rodin was initiatied to the art of movement through his encounters with the dancers his time, such as Isadora Duncan, Loïe Fuller and Hanako. A body of exceptional works will bring together sculpture, photography and drawing, taking the visitor into a world of grace and poetry.

Contemporary Collections From 1960 until Today. New Presentation – Pompidou Centre – Starting in June
This exhibition provides an overview of practices that gave the 1960s a corporal (the Fluxus spirit, body art), linguistic (American conceptual art and international conceptualism) or formal (minimalism, arte povera) dimension.

Corot and Faces – Musée Marmottan Monet  – February 8 through July 8
Universally celebrated for his landscapes, Camille Corot was also a great painter of faces. Rich with sixty masterpieces from the most important public and private collections in Europe and the United States, the exhibition aims to underline this brilliant part of the production of the first modern landscaper.

Fête de la Musique – ALL OVER PARIS – June 21
Fête de la Musique in Paris makes music accessible to everyone by offering free performances in open air locations like parks and public buildings. All styles of music find expression at this annual festival of world music, which has become an international phenomenon with celebrations taking place on the same day in cities all over the world. Choirs, operas, orchestras and other performance groups, from professional to amateur musicians, reach out to audiences of all ages and backgrounds, bringing the world together through music.

Bastille Day! – French National Day – July 14
To celebrate the French Republic, you can join many of the great (and free) activities held throughout Paris: witness the amazing firework display by the Eiffel Tower, watch the impressive military parade and the air show, visit your local firestation for the bal des pompiers…

Summer Sales – June 27 through August 7
Save your sous (money) for the summer sales in Paris. During les soldes, stores mark down prices to exceptional lows and you can find amazing deals of designers goods as well as big name brands.

The Paris Jazz Festival – Parc Floral de Vincennes – June 17 through July 31
Live jazz in the open air is a summer Paris favorite. The Paris Jazz Festival launches its 24th edition with a new proposition, each of the weekend you will be transported to a specific geographic or stylistic world (Africa, the sounds of the diaspora, the world of beats with legendary supergroup Magma, the human voice with Raul Midon and Lisa Simone, the blues heritage…) while bringing to light the impact of French culture on the planet.

teamLab – La Villette – May 4 through September 2
This innovative exhibition is not to be missed. Bringing together the knowledge of art and science, the teamLab Protean Collective presents an interactive installation that stretches the boundaries of art, science, technology and creativity. The exhibition evolves according to the movements of the visitors providing an immersive experience.
