Performance in PCA's Gallery by Tina Xi and Misia Zurek

Mark your calendars, we are happy to invite you all to the first event of the year on our campus!

“Being, Becoming Water” is a performance by BFA Fine Arts student Tina Xi and alumna Misia Zurek. The performance piece takes the form of physical gestures of two human bodies accompanied by a soundscape. Upon entering the space, the audience will be encouraged to listen to a sound piece through earphones or out loud, each going through their own journey. The performance embraces different qualities of water through movement.

This piece focuses on connection: connection to other human beings, to our inner selves and to nature or the universal. Inspired by hydro-feminism, we embrace the bodies of water within each of us, our connection to each other and the natural force through an open and experiential process.
