Description:
The 3D Lab Assistant position is open to students interested in the hands-on technical aspects of running a 3D lab.
We are looking for serious and sensible students who are familiar with the tools and machines in our lab (saws, drills, sanders) and who are motivated to become a skilled equipment professional.
During the year, students will take shifts in the lab and ensure proper operation and safety for users. Assistants are also required to provide any help to students who need it.
Experience, competencies and skills to be gained:
A 3D lab assistant will learn through experience but also by helping others to properly use all of our machines (woodworking, metalworking, ceramic kilns) and get the best result for the project at hand.
The student will also be able to solve basic problems related to the operation of the machines that may arise during the year.
The assistant will assist with small maintenance and improvement projects in the lab, such as building shelves or wooden boxes.
Please be aware that this is a very professional position that requires a lot of responsibility and flexibility (especially at the end of the semesters).
