Costume Design Competition for Valerian, a Luc Besson SF Saga

Artists, designers and stylists from around the world are invited to create a costume for the next science fiction film Valerian and the City of Thousand Planets, from the visionary director and screenwriter Luc Besson (5th Element, Taken,etc…).

The aim of this contest is to design a costume for an alien character that can be worn by a human. The costumes will be included in a key scene of the film, depicting a diplomatic reception held on the Alpha space station in 2580 .

Film Director Luc Besson, the editor of  Yahoo Style Joe Zee and the costume designer Olivier Bério, will select up to 20 designers who will receive $1,000 each and will have their garments made and worn by actors. Entries are open until 27 November 2015.
