Designing Accessories at PCA

At PCA, our future Fashion Designers are prepared to enter the professional world with a varied range of skills including accessories design. This semester the Fashion Design seniors are working in collaboration with students of the renowned French guild, les Compagnons du Devoir, designing bags.

We recently talked to Xavier Thurston, Fashion Design class ’15, about his accessory project and the importance of accessories design in the Fashion scene nowadays.

Accessories design for me cannot really be differentiated from Fashion Design as they both work together and pair. But, what is more interesting in accessories design is that you can express more of your eccentricity —even if you wear pretty “norm core” clothes you can always add accessories that amp up the eccentricity!
