Over spring break, Paris College of Art hosted a group of fashion students from partner institution KEA (Copenhagen Institute of Design and Technology) for a campus visit and a master class from Donald Potard, Fashion Chair and head of PCA’s new Masters program in Fashion Design: New Materials and Technologies.

The talk—on the innovations disrupting the fashion industry—sparked a lively discussion about the future of fashion. The group of 45 students, led by KEA faculty members Lotte Nerup and Sarah Bertmann, discussed the advent of new materials and technologies, the advantages and pitfalls of mass customization, and whether the “fast-fashion” era was truly coming to an end.
