Lieven Lefere exhibits at Urbanautica: 'Because it's in my nature'

Urbanautica

On the 10th of March 2017, Lieven Lefere and his colleagues Isabel Devos and Jasper Léonard will be presenting their exhibition ‘Because it’s in my nature’ with Urbanautica in the Mi Gallery.

These artists all are focused and fascinated on the same thing; the symbolic duality of man and nature dialetic and are intent on showing the world the beauty of it.

Isabel Devos remnants of nature can be viewed as a landscape, a contrast inbetween human culture and nature, or maybe photography and painting. As a tribute to Le Corbusier Lieven Lefere created something that lets us see his work in a different light, he emphasizes that his landscape is the result of the interaction inbetween the built and the unbuilt. Such as how a photography is the result of the action between frame and object, device and reality. Jasper Léonard tricks the viewer’s knowledge of contemporary photography by using the in-camera manipulations that result in a weird psychedelic imagery.

All of these aspects of art will be visible at their exhibition ‘Because it’s in my nature’ starting on the 10th of March 2017.
