Paris-Pas-Cher: Where to Grab Food Around Campus

Wondering where to grab a reasonably priced coffee or sandwich around school? This edition of Paris-Pas-Cher reached out to PCA students to find their tried and true places.

MONOPRIX
If you are interested in a quick, cheap option, Monoprix is the place to go. A few steps from campus, they have sandwiches, wraps, pastas, salads and even smoothies. Most of their items are decently priced, plus they give free cutlery when you buy a meal!

MAISON FERRAND
This boulangerie, right in front of the metro Poisonniere, serves affordable pastries, sandwiches, and even coffees. You can even enjoy your meal inside, as they have an indoor seating area.

ENKOR
Looking for bowls or bahn mi’s? Enkor is the place to go. Their variations of fillings change almost daily, but they are guaranteed to be delicious. Although a bowl is around 10€, they give heaping servings. Plus, they always have delicious vegetarian options.

Here you will find one of the best and healthiest lunches around campus. The ingredients in their bipimbap varies from day to day and they also sell nice desserts and Korean tea.

This boulangerie serves a large variety of sandwiches, snacks, salads, pastries, and even has meals of the day. They have many ‘formules’ you can chose from, all of which are very affordable.

LA MAISON BLEUE
This bistro serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The morning terrace is bathing in sunlight which makes it a perfect spot to enjoy an espresso and a croissant.

This trendy vegetarian hot dog outlet offers excellent sausages & is perfect for a takeaway lunch. The tasty veggie dogs are made from wheat and soya smoked over beechwood & topped with different combinations of fresh salad and veggies, each dog is just €5.

LES ANIMALS
This Parisian café is a cheap place to have some wine after school or coffee during the lunch breaks. Here you will find Belgian beer, breakfast for 6,5 euro, enough of space which is really rare for bars in Paris and also really cool animal graphics. A glass of wine costs around 2,5 euro; a big beer is 5 euro and a coffee is just 1 euro at the bar or 1,90 euro outside. It is one of the cheapest places around the school so when you find yourself short on money, you know where to go.

Long established international chain serving vegetarian dishes from South India, such as dosas. Large choice of the menu counts about 4 pages with all specialties services for prices ranging from 3 to 15 €.

EL NOPAL
Mexican street food: gorditas (cornflour doughnuts) for 3.50€, tortillas for 7.50€, or flat breads topped meat and vegetables for 8.90€. It’s quite cheap and filling, so we highly recommended.
