For all of you drawing lovers, this month is the time for #inktober! Inktober is a worldwide drawing challenge, with no contest, no gain, just fun!
The rules are pretty simple: one Ink Drawing a day; you post it on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and then add the hashtag #inktober and the date. As well, share it with the PCA community by hashtagging it #pariscollegeofart.
This game was created 6 years ago by Jake Parker, as a self-challenge to improve drawing and inking skills. You will find some very good advice about Ink Drawing on his website.
Jake established the following rules for the challenge:
1) Make a drawing in ink (you can do a pencil under-drawing if you want).
2) Post it on your blog (or Tumblr, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, Pinterest or just pin it on your wall).
3) Hashtag it with #inktober and #pariscollegeofart.
Note: you can do it daily, or go the half-marathon route and post every other day, or just do the 5K and post once a week. Whatever you decide, just be consistent with it. INKtober is about growing, improving and forming positive habits.
There are no particular themes. But if you would like some, some Inktober groups on Facebook are sharing lists of themes.
As well, PCA professor Loic Secheresse will share some daily themes, if you ask nicely ;).
