Congratulations to PCA alumni Kaamna Patel ’14 and Sho Konishi ’17 on the recent publication of their books!
Kaamna Patel is a Class of 2014 Photography alumna and serves as a PCA Admissions Ambassador. Her recent photobook, In Today’s News: Alpha Males and Women Power appropriates images from print media in India to comment on prevalent patriarchies and predetermined gender roles. Sho Konishi is a Class of 2017 graduate from the Master of Arts in Haute Couture Fashion Design program. Sho currently lives and works as a fashion designer in New York, and his newest publication, Garden of Eden: Botanical Masterpieces Collection, captures the fascinating process of creating his Garden of Eden fashion collection. “Garden of Eden” explores the relationship between nature and fashion, as well as the theme of sustainability and the use of fashion as a way to design life. The book includes 48-page editorial photo series with collaborator Naoyasu Mera of model Jasper Colorado bringing each of the stunning looks to life. It is available for purchase from amazon.com.
