Helen Ho is a photographer born and raised in New York City, and currently based in Trondheim, Norway.
Her primary focus is on social documentary photography and portraiture.
The subjects at the forefront of her work feature themes relating to identity, travel, culture, social issues, and evoking empathy through visual language.
Her photographs aim to communicate the intersection of psychology and photography.
Her work is the result of interacting with, and observing the dynamic between herself and the people or elements within her surroundings.
Her process includes considering ethical approaches of photographing people, the illusion of “honesty” within photography, and the narrative or portrayal an image is capable of conveying.
