Spending your winter vacation in Paris? This does not have to be staying at home and doing nothing, there are still plenty of things to do. This edition of Paris-Pas-Cher will warm you up with some great ideas.

ICE-SKATING RINKS

Head to one of the ice rinks set up in Paris to enjoy this classic winter activity. Even if you don’t step out on the ice, it is fun to watch the spectacle with a cup of vin chaud or hot chocolate. Entrance to the ice rinks are free and skate rental around €5.

Trocadéro:
Generally from mid-December to early January.  The fun Christmas Village at the Trocadéro located just across the Seine from the Eiffel Tower is a festive spot for ice skating and enjoying the charms of a French Christmas market – all with great views of the Eiffel Tower nearby.

MUSEUMS

Even though it’s the holiday season, museums are in full bloom with special exhibits mounted in most of them. Here are some of the favourite exhibitions that continue through December.

Christian Dior Exhibition
FINAL DAYS! The Musée des Arts Décoratifs celebrates the 70th anniversary of the creation of the House of Dior with an amazing display of his creations.

Anders Zorn, 19th-Century Swedish Painter
This is the first Paris retrospective of Anders Zorn, (1860-1920). The exhibition showcases hiswork as a champion of Swedish folklore from the National Museum in Stockholm.
