Resources for PCA Students

A refresher on upcoming induction sessions and resources for PCA students this Fall 2018!

PCA Students interested in using the 3D lab on campus must take the safety workshop. The first workshop was held on Saturday, September 8. If you missed it, don’t worry, because the second workshop will take place this Saturday, September 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the 3D Studio.

Remember to keep 3D Lab rules in mind, for this workshop:

  • All food and drinks (including water and coffee) are prohibited in the 3D Lab.
  • Wear appropriate attire: close toe shoes (no sandals); no ripped jeans; wear shirts and pants that cover your shoulders and knees; no dangling jewelry, etc. If in doubt, consult the student handbook.
  • BE ON TIME. Late comers will not be permitted.

This semester, our brilliant French tutors Alice and Marion are offering French sessions open to all and conducted in French twice a week during the whole semester.
It is a great opportunity for you to keep improving your French, on campus, during your lunch break. Don’t miss it!

Tuesdays -Theme: Life in Paris – 1-2pm, room 401
Thursdays – Theme: French cinema – 1-2pm, room 206

Through one-on-one appointments and periodic workshops, the Research and Writing Lab offers students supplementary support in the content, structuring, research, documentation, and execution of academic papers in the English language. Students can meet with the tutor from the early stages of an assignment to develop ideas, discuss paper structuring, and learn about available research resources and helpful documentation habits. Other students may prefer to approach the Research and Writing Lab at a later stage in the writing process, after a draft has been written, to discuss how the paper could communicate its ideas more effectively.

Students can schedule thirty-minute individual sessions with the Research and Writing tutors by writing to: [email protected]
