Sho Konishi Wins the 2017 Takasago Award!

Takasago is a major international producer of flavours and fragrances headquartered in Japan, with presence in 24 countries worldwide. PCA continues its partnership with Takasago to introduce Fashion students to the art of fragrances and perfumes.

Through to this partnership, Takasago introduces our students to the art and science of fragrance, the history of perfumery, what stimuli inspire a perfumer and receive an olfactive training. Students then present their end of the year fashion collection to a Takasago jury, who helps them translate their designs into perfume ideas. The jury then selects the best fragrance brief. This year’s winner is Sho Konishi with his fragrance called “Pandolla”Takasago fabricated the winning fragrance, which was then distributed at PCA’s End of the Year Show on May 18.

Sho Konishi’s “Pandolla” is a fragrance which “reconciles the best out of nature and technology to achieve the ultimate goal of fragrance: connecting people back to the earth and moving forward together”.
